The Resources and Waste group of the Nelson Tasman Climate Forum is partnering with Community Art Works (CAW) to host this second repair cafe to share our skills and resources.
This month we will have sewing machines again to help with any clothing repairs and also more options: including sharing tips on getting dried up pens working again and making toys like this elephant from an old hiking fleece.
[** UPDATE ** - sadly the electrician can't join us on Sunday now, although he has offered to pick up any items for testing and tagging from CAW next week and return when done] An electrician will be present to test and tag appliances (charge of $5 to cover the tag), to check they are working and safe. This is useful if you are unsure and thinking of buying a replacement. Also useful if lending to someone else eg. through the rent/lend platform Mutu (www.mutu.co.nz). He can also assess whether & how something might be able to be repaired.
