If you've found your way to this website, chances are you're pretty familiar with the concept of carbon emissions. But have you ever measured the carbon emissions of your household? You might be surprised at what you find.
Claire Keeling from Ekos ran a very informative webinar for us this week on how to measure, offset and reduce carbon emissions. Claire walked us through the Ekos online lifestyle calculator, and also touched on the calculators for businesses and schools.
Claire explained the different ways that carbon emissions can be offset and the important role that offsetting has to play while we all continue to work towards a zero-carbon future. Ekos focuses on offsetting through certified forest carbon credits. After completing your carbon emissions calculation on the website, you'll be given the option of offsetting your carbon footprint. You can read all about how offsetting with Ekos works on their website here.
If you're after a waste-free and climate-friendly Christmas present this year, Ekos has an awesome range of gift packs here. Instead of the usual box of chocolates and pair of socks, you could offset a loved one's driving emissions for the year, or offset your household's carbon footprint.
Thanks, Claire for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. If you missed the webinar, you can view it here.
